What will our world be like if our children are bi-lingual
and raised accustomed to solar power? We plan to
find out! Join us as we work towards this
goal.
| Solar Speak™ was
founded to accomplish one major objective - to add
foreign language to the elementary curriculum so that
our children are bi-lingual by middle school using
economical solar power as the monetary driving force.
Foreign language
In the majority of schools, our children have the
option of learning a foreign language in middle school
and high school. Research shows that a child's language
learning skills begin to decline after the age of 8
making it more difficult to learn another language. It
is critical that our children learn another language
while in elementary school to capture the critical
learning opportunity.
Ninety percent of European schoolchildren learn
English as a second language. In the United States, only
9% of the population is bilingual. Our children need to
have multilingual proficiency for many reasons.

Solar Energy
Solar energy will fund the administrative and personnel costs
associated with the addition of foreign language instruction to
the elementary curriculum. The energy savings achieved from
using solar energy will be used to cover these additional costs.

Getting Started:
Our test school district is from our hometown of
Muskego, WI. We will be placing solar panels on the entire
Muskego
school district:
- 1 high school
- 2 middle schools
- 5 elementary schools
- 1 district office
Star Treatment
To add excitement and raise attention of our
cause, we will be enlisting the support of a home state
actor to help promote Solar Speak.
